   When I ordered the “BASNLIFE Wall Art Canvas Hand Painted Forest Lake, Colorful Texture Oil Paintings Wall Decor, Modern Artwork Painting Wall Art for Living Room Bedroom Office Home Decor(48″ Lx24 W)” I expected something else. I expected a decent looking “print” that would visually appear to have been painted by hand. What I did not expect was that this artwork easily passes as a hand painted original.

   I wanted some new artwork over the mantel in the living room. 20×40 is an acceptable size, but 24×48 is definitely better for my space. I wanted some color, but nothing super vivid – no neon, no “electric,” etc. And I wanted something kind of neutral, but without it looking too much like “hotel room art” that always seems to be just generic splashes of color in whatever art style the hotel decorating team decided worked best. Usually those pieces are abstract/modern and have no actual “subject,” but do a lot to dress up a space without offending anybody’s sensibilities.

   When this arrived and I unpacked it, I was truly surprised. This art looks like an original to me. It looks hand painted. It has actual texture, much like an original oil painting would. The canvas is well wrapped on the frame, and the edges of the canvas are painted black (as opposed to being the continuation of the artwork around all four sides of the framework, commonly seen with canvas-wrapped prints).

   The framework has two eyelets already installed into the back of the wood framing for that ready-to-hang user friendliness. However, if you want to avoid trying to position two nails (or picture hangers) at precisely the right height, I suggest running picture wire between the two eyelets instead. In my experience, the wire can provide easier horizontal adjustment once hung on the wall. NOTE: There is a vertical support/brace running vertically along the center of the frame, so it would not be difficult to nail a small picture hanger to the center of the frame instead of using a wire.

   Currently this (beautiful) piece of art is listed for $109.00. I am very pleased with it and I am happy to recommend this artwork to others. Just please don’t mention to anybody that I’m not the original artist, mmkay? Thanks!

   I recently purchased the BASNLIFE oil painting, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The painting is 48×24 inches and hand-painted by professional artists, giving it a truly unique and textured look. The quality is impressive, with a traditional wooden frame and high-quality canvas.    This is a beautiful oil painting… I am in love. Highly recommend this item. One thing I did not like was the couple in the painting so I just took a little paint and covered them up, easy to do because this is an impressionistic painting, this was just my personal preference but for most they would like it as is….. it’s gorgeous, the colors are vibrant and lovely. So very pretty. Well worth the cost.

   I’ve recently seen several of these “3D paintings” pop up on AZ, all with mixed reviews. Some are a mix of printed images with hand-painted touches and texture, and others (like this one) claim to be fully handpainted with no printing used. I have a small-sized floral one that uses the mixed (printing with hand-painted finishing touches) that is very “meh”.

   But in the absence of BB&B physical locations and with HomeGoods regularly and quickly being picked over, I had to turn to AZ for larger-format, reasonably priced, sort-of-real-looking grownup art that isn’t a cheap framed poster that is of reasonable enough quality for me to have it hanging in front of other grownups.

   I can’t tell whether the claim that this is FULLY hand-painted is true at this price ($109 for the 48″Wx24T” picture at the time of writing), but I can say that this piece is very nice and well-constructed. I got the “Forest Lake” version. It’s done in a rapid-impressionist-style technique that involves a fast, repetitive impasto technique to get the textured clusters of leaves and accents on the water and ground. Like many traditional impressionist-style paintings, the “picture” is clearer to the eye from further away and gets a little messier – intentionally – the closer you get while remaining beautiful.

   It has vibrant colors of many shades/hues, including blues, greens, reds, yellows, oranges, whites, blacks, and browns. It looks like a beautiful transition between late summer and autumn. Two people (a couple, I assume) are painted in the lower middle of the painting. They are very inconspicuous, but when you notice them, they accentuate the largeness of the natural setting around them and the painting overall.

   The sturdy canvas is nicely stretched and mounted on a sturdy, well-constructed, lightweight softwood backing frame (possibly pine?). There is no sag, and everything is straight and level. The piece, although sizeable, will be easily hung using the includes “traceless” hooks.

   I planned on using this in a guest bedroom as a centerpiece above the headboard-less guest bed. But it’s so pretty that I’m thinking of hanging it elsewhere near other “real” art pieces I have (lithos, photographs, and one-of-a-kind pieces) in common areas.

   I am very happy with this piece, and the price is fair. I would’ve paid for it even if I had not gotten it through the Vine Program. I recommend this painting.
