I really like these. I was worried because everyone said they smelled bad coming out of the box. There was a slight odor and they are oily but wiping them down with a rag works well.
I got these to hang on each side of a square picture on a huge wall. I wanted these to balance the wall out and pull it all together. The craftsmanship is really nice and they’re well worth the money.
So, I decided after a day of having these hung that I wanted to add a couple medallions to them. I grabbed the medallions at hobby lobby and I think they add a lot to them. Still happy with my pirchinisf needed a little something extra…

If there was an option to give a rating of zero, I would.
One of the panels was broken and with a warped frame and both of them were covered in mould. As soon as the package entered our house, there was a strong smell of mould, which when opened, prompted a medical reaction for my husband, who is very sensitive to mould. This is more than disappointing.
Amazon – how is it possible that this can happen? I’m sure you have have standards to uphold!

I am really very happy with the quality of carving on both pieces. I thought they were a little expensive when ordering, but after receiving I think they are definitely not overpriced. I used one as a vertical wall hanging, and placed another one horizontally on a long, low cabinet to create a decorative back panel for the cabinet. Do be careful of the wood wax/varnish on the panels– I did get some brown varnish on the white wall when hanging. It is a good idea to place a few small furniture pads on the back of panels to prevent wax from rubbing on wall. There is a warning tag on the panel regarding wood wax, but I didn’t think to use the furniture pads until the wall already was marked. 🙂 (These panels would also work well as a headboard for full sized bed.)
