So far we have 4 Valery Madelyn Halloween pieces. This one is the smallest @ 9.4″ tall x 5″ wide 4.5″ deep. It operates on 2 AA batteries (not included). The switch has three positions. ON1 (lights and audio) , OFF & ON2 (lights only). ON1 plays an annoying maniacal laugh that lasts about 4-5 seconds then repeats. Again, it is very annoying and will not be played much by us.
We love the other Valery Madeline items that we’ve gotten, but this one is our least favorite. It just doesn’t do much. There are no color changing lights and again the audio is very annoying and short. It’s still cute though and will go along nicely with the rest of the villages we have.
This is a beautiful piece that will live with us for years to come.

Super cute Halloween house! It is well made and has a music option and silent option. I didn’t open the box so I’m not sure if the chimney was broken or simple detached to fit in the box. Whatever it was, no problem because it fits right in and a little glue would fix it.

I kind of expected this to be cheap. My fault I guess. While it IS resin, it does not come off as cheap at ALL. The colors are vivid with good shading. The lights are bright on it and all of them worked (yay!). The ghosts are solid. ALL of the painting is “within the lines” on mine.
So what really sells it to me? The laughter – it is just hilarious if you ask me. So it does have two settings though – on with the laughter, then off, then on without the laughter. The laughter is not motion sensor or anything, it’s just the setting. It goes off for appx 3 times (about 3 seconds or so) and then takes appx one second break, then goes off 3 times again. Repeatedly. Sooooo you will probably only listen to it a few times before turning it off unless you’re in the middle of a Halloween party or something!
The bottom of this house has four non-skid type grips on them. They really keep it down well. I was glad to see those!
We decorate almost all of our home and yard for Halloween so this is a welcome addition to our Halloween town! Love it. To me the price is fair for something with both lights and sound and such good quality. Definitely recommend.

This is such a cute addition to my Halloween Spooky Town Village. It’s great quality, it’s a nice size, and it’s got great lighting/sounds. This is the perfect gift for any Halloween lover!!! I would give it an extra star if I could.

The Valery Madelyn Vintage Halloween Village Halloween Ghost house decor is so nice! It’s well made and came nicely packaged. It requires 2 AA batteries, once batteries are installed you get a light only mode or lights with sound. It’s nicely painted and looks awesome. Highly recommend… for yourself or perfect for gifting for those Halloween lovers.

This Halloween village by Valery Madelyn is another great quality product and design, that was packaged with care! The removable ghost was the first thing I noticed when opening the box, as it was in a completely separate area in the styrofoam. It’s also super easy to assemble, you just need to put the removable ghost in the spot in the top of the chimney. In order for this haunted house/village to light up or make sounds it does require 2 AA batteries, which you insert in the battery compartment on the bottom. This product is also made out of resin but doesn’t give off the impression that it is. The paint job is also flawless, I didn’t really notice any color bleeding or anything. I knocked a star off because after putting the ghost in, then removing it, the tiny metal rod stayed in the castle, while the ghost separated. I had to grab my pliers to remove the tiny metal rod so that I could package it back up in its original packaging….

This is a fun little addition to a Halloween display. The off button is in the center position – sliding it to one side make the lights only come on, sliding it to the other side makes the lights come on and sound play.
It’s not the highest quality at all – the glues are messy and it feels a bit cheap. It does feel a little expensive for what you actually get.

This little ghost house is giving me Beetlejuice vibes and I love it. There are fun little touches everywhere. I like the option to use it with lights & sound or just lights. I would like it if the glue was cleaned up better or leaned into to make it a part of the look. Also, it would be great if it could be set on a timer. Overall, I dig this house and look forward to collecting the whole village.
