   This is an adorable and elaborately decorated Halloween haunted ship. The mast was one of the two parts that came off. We are disappointed because my husband does a haunt here at our place every year, and the ship would have been nice to have. We do not know precisely what happened, but the two pieces were broken off inside the bag already, and we noticed as we took the toy out. I am so happy to say this is a cute haunted ship with all kinds of details, so you can get lost in noticing them. I love the colors painted on this resin artwork. So well-done. The missing pieces were very thin, long, and delicate; maybe it was bound to happen, or this was a happening caused by an error of sorts. It could be an isolated incident.

   This is around 12-ish inches long or in that area. I would get something like this because of the price and because it is a cute and practical prop for Halloween, which is coming in a few months. So get ready for the fun time of year!

   I suggest giving this to someone who I know can use it. If you wrap it, keep it in the box after checking it because that is the easiest way to see if it is in one piece. You are better off doing that than packaging this elaborate ship loose, with the many pointy pieces jutting out. If a baby is involved, I will look elsewhere.

   This is a lightweight resin piece; the paint will not chip or rub off. I would clean it in various steps with a wet rag. If it felt safe, I would run water over it a bit.

   This is a good value for something that looks and feels like this.

   This is a really cute Halloween decoration! The sailing vessel is manned by smiling ghosts sailing on rough waves. Also aboard are a couple Frankentstein monsters, a pumpkinhead at the front with arms outstretched a la Titanic, and a witch in the window. Meticulous attention has been paid to details such as the grain of the wood, paint colors, shingles, bones, life preservers, and heads set into the wall of the ship. The boat requires 3 AA batteries, which are not included. A switch on the back turns two ways: one activates just lights and the other operates lights and creepy music. This piece would be perfect for any Halloween scene!

   The media could not be loaded.

   This is very loud with the volume on. If you use the volume less setting its fine. The lights are cute. The details are a bit messy though. The paint job was not the neatest.

   It was broken in three areas. Plus for some reason it had wet paint all over and turn our hands blue. There is also some paint chipping. The sound is absolutely horrible.

   Not perfect. The bowsprit (stick thing on front of ship) was broken when I received it. I think I will be able to reattach with some epoxy or glue. Some of the color work on the item is not as precise as it could be. The lights, sound and movement of wheel are cute and work as designed. Overall, I still feel this is a decent halloween decoration. I wish it had a volume control for the sound.

   I’m a die hard Halloweenie! Often I’ll skip fall decor all together and go straight to the best holiday ever. Just a week ago I found, and purchased my first Valery Madelyn piece. It definitely didn’t disappoint, but it did start an obsession. This is the second piece I’ve ordered and received, with #3 on the way. I can’t help it- these are absolutely incredible!

   This adorable pirate ship arrived quick, carefully sandwiched between foam blocks and packed in a cardboard box. Despite the delicate intricacies on this piece, there wasn’t a single spot of damage when it arrived.

   The level of detail is literally INCREDIBLE! Yes, they look amazing in photos, but you really need to see this in person to get the full effect of the exceptional quality. The characters are chuck full if detail. There’s tiny vents on the side of the ship, areas where the ‘wood’ is lifting on the floor of the ship, just like you would imagine it to on a real pirate ship commandeered by a Halloween crew and little, meticulous bones and skulls painted all around. I find something new every time I look at this!

   Now, partially because I’m a psycho and partially for review purposes, I searched this piece with a magnifying glass for over 30 minutes. I can say, with absolute certainty that there isn’t a single ‘off’ piece or area where workmanship is even close to shoddy. There also isn’t one single spot where the paint is sloppy or not contained where it’s supposed to be. This is literally perfection- there’s no debating that.

   This insanely detailed ship is roughly 10″ wide and 9.5″ tall. It’s heavy, but it’s not a brick. Wherever you look, there’s something new and adorable to see. This ship tells a story and while it’s spooky, it isn’t scary for the younger ones.

   With the addition of three AA batteries (not included) the ship comes to life! Slide the switch one way to illuminates the ship in bright and dazzling light. Slide it the other way to get light and sound. This plays a fun Halloween tune that’s nice and loud and suprisingly very clear and sharp.

   The love and obsession is very real with these Valery Madelyn Halloween pieces. I want them all! I think that for the quality and level of detail, the price is VERY reasonable. Plus, these are made to last! I’ll enjoy them for as long a I can before passing them down to Halloweenie daughter. These are quickly becoming family treasures and with very good reason.

   If you too are a Halloweenie, you NEED this ship!
   If your not a Halloweenie, but appreciate good quality craftmanship and adorable decorations, you also NEED this ship!

   Was really looking forward to this decoration since I was in the navy and love all pirate stuff. Opened the box and it was broken. Both masses fell off right away. Package didn’t look that damage from the outside so I have no clue how it broke. Sad.
