   Good lights but power supply stopped working after a short time. Tried to get a new one from supplier but have been ignored.
   Bad after sales service.

   I love the ability to create the right ambiance for the mood. Dimmable, warm/soft light, colors, patterns and all from my smartphone via their app. We also have Govee TV lights and they have functioned well for years with no issues. I will hope these function as well for as long.

   We expanded our back patio and added a bunch of new furniture and a gazebo. What we didn’t have was enough light in the backyard to illuminate the area. So I picked up these GOVEE lights and strung them up around the gazebo, then stretched them from the gazebo up to my back porch. The lights look great and add good illumination to the area. The colour selection and scenes are fun to watch and experiment with.

   I dock a star because the electrical components are only IP65 rated for waterproofness. And the control button on the light string is closer to the lights than to the plug in. It should have been closer to the plug in to allow for better protection from the elements. As it stands these lights will need to be taken down for the winter, as west coast Canadian winters tend to be very wet and I don’t have much faith this product is adequately water rated considering it’s designed to be an outdoor product.

   Apart from this issue though, the lights are wonderful and provide a nice ambiance to my outdoor oasis. Recommend.

   I originally purchased these in October 2022. By April 2024, I HAD to buy replacements as 1/3of the lights were totally out and 1/3 wouldn’t color change. (They would only change various shades of blue.) For the 1st year though, they were very nice. They are good for ambient lighting, but not bright enough to play games near (like cards or monopoly), even @ 100%.

   They are very easy to use with the app. Love the app as it’s not another remote that is easily misplaced.

   The app is easy to use, and it’s easy to customize each bulb color, if you want. There are many programs, fun color choices. I have my lights on a timer, which is another great feature in the app. (I have a few of their items, so it’s nice to have them all in the same app.)

   Overall, very happy with my purchase. Better than I hoped for. I had a hard time seeing from the reviews and videos on YouTube just how bright these would be, and I was worried they would be dim. Although the lights are 3 feet apart, I knew that from the specs, and I bought 2 of the 96 feet strands so that I could shorten them with zip ties between each light, to get the distance down to 18 inches. Looks great and that is what I think a perfect spacing now.

   Pros:
   -Application comes with a ton of really cool preset lighting scenes to choose from
   -LED lights are bright
   -The price, I mean, why wouldn’t you buy lights with this many features and ability to independently control each LED color? You would easily spend just as much buying dumb lights at any of the big box retail stores that don’t do much of anything other than turn on and off.

   Cons:
   -The lights are about 3 feet apart.
   -I am still figuring out the application, but so far, having problems with a couple of things: The lights when put into a group want to connect over bluetooth instead of Wifi, so can only control them locally with phone and the automation configuration doesn’t seem to work consistently. When configuring the lights wifi, it wants the settings on my ihpone… which means I have to connect my phone to my 2.4Ghz band instead of my 5Ghz which is annoying. It is kind of odd really.
   -Not so easy to figure out how to customize your own lighting scheme

   This review is for the 48ft Govee outdoor string lights.

   As mentionned by others, the lamps are great and the app works just fine (Tested on android).

   Simple to adjust from your phone on the go and fairly easy to use. The colors and brightness are fine, the little hooks built on each lamp base make it for an easy setup.

   Again, as mentionned by others just be careful to keep the plug and built in controller out of the water despite the ratings.

   I got these for Christmas, but I’ve left them up they’re so great and versatile. I had custom colours chosen for Christmas as I couldn’t find any LEDs that had my specific desired colour scheme, and that was absolutely awesome. The app is super easy to use and allows for near endless options. I’ve left them up and have them just for illumination as standard yellow-white lights. They’ve faired all sorts of weather, from -27C to +35C, snow, wind, downpours, and they’re no worse for wear. Absolutely worth it.

   I was looking for some lights to not only use at Christmas but to keep up all year for just hanging out on the patio. These Govee lights fit the bill to a T. I had bought one other Govee product at that point (PC lighting) and loved it so I thought I’d give the brand another shot.
   These lights (got two strands so 96 feet) work perfectly! They seem to be well made and the ability to connect them to their app makes them so easy to control too! I love these!

   Pros:
   Seem to be very well made.
   Connects easily to the app.
   Totally controllable from the app. You can pick different light setups that are on the app (which I did for Christmas as they had like 5 different themes you could do premade) or you can totally make your own rules. You can control every individual light and have it be whatever color you want. It’s a little bit of a pain to do but I messed around with it and had some cool patterns going.
   My favorite part is I have the lights set up on a timer. Every day at 4pm the lights come on and they turn back off at 11:30pm. I never do a thing unless I want to change something.
   You can even open the app and turn them on like at noon (dark rainy day) and they’ll turn on and then it goes into the scheduling and turns off at the 11:30 mark. Very cool!
   Great light set!

   Cons:
   Just two things I can think of…
   1) You can only turn them on or off unless you use the app ( and only white steady on) so if you hate having to use apps I’d leave these alone.
   2) The controller that is between the end of the light strand and then the power cord doesn’t appear to be waterproof. I wouldn’t trust that it is anyway. Kinda weird when they are outdoor lights. I bought a waterproof box to keep it watertight. You can barely see the box in the bottom right of my picture.

     This product is super cool. It’s nice and long, almost 100 feet (30 bulbs spread over 96ft I think it was…), and the styling is nice the way the lights hang off the main cord. One of my favorite features is the fact that they are plastic bulb covers, so you don’t have to worry about hitting them together or dropping them and glass breaking, or the bulbs burning out since they are LED and last forever.
    The app to control them was very easy to install and connect to the lights, and it lets you control the color of each one of the 30 bulbs individually, which is the coolest feature. There are also a whole bunch of premade color/movement patterns built in.
    They have made themed ones for almost any occasion (Christmas, Halloween, Birthday), as well as ones to mimic places like carnivals or nighttime skylines, and things you find in nature like galaxies, sunsets, fireflies, or ocean waves. They’ve even got ones to match your mood. They are all really fun and there are too many options to list.
    Highly recommend and will likely purchase more for other areas.
    Would work great as Christmas lights wrapped around an evergreen. These will go around the deck come summer time. Got them because Costco had a set that was half the length for $60 on sale, but they had nowhere near the amount of features that this string does.
    I wanted to see comparables on Amazon and saw these on sale for just under $100 as the deal of the day, so pulled the trigger, and I’m SO glad I did. They are so fun, easy to use, well made, and stylish. 10/10.

    They look great and work great. Good colours and fun lighting options for the backyard. Responsive to changes from the app.

    Only complaint is the transformer is not waterproof and too close to the string of lights so was a bit tricky to make sure it was sheltered from the elements. If you are using an extension cord to plug them into this might be an issue for you.
