UPDATED AFTER 2 YEARS **********
—- Functions —-
I saw another reviewer giving 4 stars saying that they can’t pair the remote to 2 lamps but that’s FALSE, YOU CAN PAIR a remote to 2 LAMPS simultaneously! Just be sure to point the remote generally in the middle of both lamps, then hold the button until flashing to be paired. The angle and position of the remote truly matters between the two lamps to signal both. I just had to write this review b/c I don’t want people to miss out on this wonderful lamp from misinformation.
So once both are paired, you should know something. I’ll tell ya it’s happened many times where I turned on or off only ONE lamp of the two that makes it inconvenient.. I’d be off to the side or corner of the room with the remote when this happened, so again I stress that angle/position matters to get them both, or you’ll be faced with struggling to turn one on while it turns the other off..!
—- PROTIP —-
However, if that happens, you can press + hold the power button for ~1 sec as you wave your hand over to another position to signal the other lamp, if that makes sense. Like waving hi but at different axises (sounds silly but that’s what I found works). Or if that’s still a struggle, you can manually press the footswitch of one lamp, press remote for the other lamp, then press that same footswitch again so they become both on or off at the same time.
And I don’t know about others but if I press the power button fast repeatedly, it would unpair the lamps from the remote, so be patient with pressing it if that’s the case for you.
On a side note, I dunno about 3+ lamps being paired since I’ve only done it for 2 but my guess is it would work, just make sure they aren’t too close together from the rooms to interfere.. in which case, you should probably try to pair with their designated remotes only.
—– Warning —–
If you are above or below a floor level with the same lamps, beware that you might accidentally pair them (this goes for next door neighbors too if they happen to have the same lamp nearby). It was a strange incident in my upstairs bedroom when my mom would tell me the lamp in the living room was malfunctioning again. That’s when I realized I paired it by mistake and was turning her lamp on/off.. HAHA, and yes, it happened more than once! To Remedy this, just make use of the footswitch to pair it properly, as instructed above.
My thoughts ********** :
I find this lamp design timeless and a lovely addition to the home. I use 2 of them in my room and appreciate the 5 modes to change it quickly when needed. I’m sensitive to light temperatures/brightness and this helps set the mood and focus in my bedroom/work studio. The lowest brightness + warmest temperature bring ease to the eyes for the night and mornings. The cool temperatures in general help me take better pictures without that yellow tint in usual indoor light settings. There is some wobble to the pole but I don’t have pets where it might be a concern.
In general, it was simple to assemble and the remote is about 6″x1.5″ but with useful functions for convenience–I added silicone bumpers on the back so it wouldn’t clank on things. Sometimes I do wish it were brighter but for the bedroom or living room, it’s a solid choice. Maybe there are compatible bulbs with a higher wattage for a brighter light, will update if I come across it after the bulbs finally die out. I’m happy that I haven’t had to change them though in the 2 years I’ve had them haha
Overall, I love this lamp and highly recommend it if you are looking for an above-average-functional floor lamp with a timeless design, decent brightness and a convenient, handy remote. I know of 5 more purchases of this lamp by others since first buying it for myself and would still recommend it to others. Thanks and may you enjoy these lamps too <3

Super easy to set it up, the remote control works well, and the build quality is pretty decent. Looks great in our room and the option to adjust the brightness is phenomenal. Worthwhile buy for the price!

SECOND UPDATE:
The replacement bulb is working as expected. After several hours of being illuminated, the remote bulb is still accepting commands from the remote. So far, so good. Hopefully, it will last.
BTW, I did order a second lamp for my office at work, mostly because I like the lamp that much. I won’t be using the remote control bulb, though. At 9W, it’s a bit too dim. Plus I don’t really need the remote function at work. The foot switch is more than adequate.
UPDATE:
The lamp itself is still good. No issues and it’s worth the price I paid for it (which was discounted).
The bulb, not so much. The remote control feature stopped working and no troubleshooting would fix it. This morning, I tried again after leaving the light OFF all night. Lo and behold, it’s working again. It appears the circuitry loses its mind when it warms up.
I’m going to assume it’s a defective bulb and do a replace & return. If it is defective, I’ll update this review.
ORIGINAL:
The lamp itself is fine. I like this style of lamp because it (sort of) provides both direct and indirect lighting. The plastic shade is just fine. I have a similar lamp in my basement with the same plastic shade and it’s been going strong for well over 10 years. But, the lamp is just that…a lamp.
The magic is in the bulb. The remote communicates with the bulb, not the lamp. You can find replacement bulbs here on Amazon and they all come with remotes. I didn’t know that. If this works out, I can use the magic bulb in ANY lamp, which is kind of exciting for a nerd like me.
The bulbs are a little pricey. You can get them for as low as nine bucks each if you buy them in a three-pack. Great idea, though. Hopefully they will last.

…for a funeral home! No–really! I just happen to be someone that is at peace with the afterlife. Actually, I like the look of this floor lamp just fine. It is simply and solidly built. It was easy to assemble. The remote comes with batteries and allows for all of the color settings and brightness to be adjusted nicely.
This lamp stands in stark contrast to my previous floor lamps (I found an old photo of them)–may they rest in peace. Here’s the scoop–my previous floor lamps were old and donated to me by the Northern Veteran’s Alliance in my state. I’m a Navy veteran. I liked them very much and purchased nice drum shades to dress them up. I was happy with them. They were made from heavy metal and one of them snapped at the base. There was no way to fix it without welding (not an immediate option); so, I was down one standing lamp. That’s when I ordered two of these lamps. Ironically, the other lamp developed an electrical problem that same week; so, I had to put it down too.
My neighbor has two pewter colored table lamps and my drum shades fit both of them. They were an improvement over the slim linen shades that they came with; so, I was glad they found a good home.
That brings me back to the crux of my funeral home remark. When I described the new upward facing lampshade and increased height of my new lamps I had ordered–she said “like a funeral home lamp” in her usual charming matter of fact fashion. I said “I guess so” half-heartedly.
Well, after assembling the first lamp, I started laughing–a lot. My neighbor’s remark was dead on–at least her suggestion affected my assessment. She never even saw a photo of this lamp but she nailed it! So, be advised, this lamp has a coolness of its own. I had to call her and share my laughter. It’s truly a great looking lamp with very cool features. Very cool. 😎
I am happy with it and you can rest in peace with the the knowledge that this lamp will be a pleasant addition to your household (or funeral home)!
