Bought this for a decoration pillow for my toddlers bed. It pillow came in a sealed bag. No funky smells. And after opening the vacuum sealed bag, it immediately fluffed up!

Great quality, as good or better than brand name inserts 4x the price. They’re very fluffy and personally I don’t think you need to buy these in a size larger than your sham size. I did initially and they looked squished inside the sham. I ended up buying another set in the same dimensions as my shams and they’re fluffy enough that they completely fill out the pillow without looking squished and misshapen. So, buy the same size as your pillow cases.
