   This is a good looking clock once it is assembled. But: (1) it came with tape on the glass parts that was hard to remove and that left a residue that I had to use Goof Off to remove; pendulum is not driven by any mechanism but simply moves by gravity (if the clock is level). and (3) the chime is a computerized chime that is not typical for a Grandfather Clock.
   If you want a good looking clock that keeps time, don’t mind spending an hour removing tape and residue from glass, and don’t mind an unusual chime; this may be the clock for you;

   This clock really is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice; the cherry frame of the clock looks gorgeous. The accessory bits are less impressive, but the body is simply stunning. For the price, it can’t be beat, and I highly recommend this clock.

   A few cons to note:
   The pendulum is rather flimsy. Of course, it’s not exactly a load-bearing structure, but if you aren’t careful with it when you unpack it, it’s easy to bend/crimp the neck of the pendulum, which is noticeable w/ the reflective finish.

   The chime is of course electronic, and it sounds like it… it’s not fooling anyone.

   With clocks like these, if the unit isn’t sitting level, the pendulum may not function properly, and slow down if not stop entirely. I was having exactly this problem, but my clock was perfectly level. I put a level on the pendulum housing itself, and found it wasn’t mounted properly… was off just a few degrees. It was very easy to fix… simple matter of 4 screws and a level; anyone could take care of it, but it was a manufacturing flaw.

   Again, great clock, and the customer service I got from Furniture Creations was fantastic. Yes, it has some less than ideal issues, but in this case, I felt like I got a lot more than I paid for. Very pleased.

   Fairy Gardens – July 11, 2024

   This product arrived late, and it also had a broken base. I did not purchase it from Amazon but through another co. on Amazon. It was too bulky to send back, so I kept it. My husband was able to stabilize it. It runs beautifully, and it has beautiful veneers. However, my clock was walnut and not a cherry oak as the picture or labeling suggest. You get what you pay for, I guess. I really would have been perturbed if I paid the $800+ price.

   The media could not be loaded.

   The clock arrived missing one of the feet which was easy to replace. I replaced all of them so they would be the same height. It keeps time wonderfully and the pendulum is mesmerizing. Worth the money as a replica grandfather clock.

   Second time purchaser – July 27, 2024

   Clock arrived with the frame cracked on the large glass door. It was not repairable. I contacted Amazon who said I could ship it back (HUGE item) or they would refund me 50% of purchase price. I accepted that but the door was still unusable. I contacted the manufacturer, Coaster Home Furnishings, who, after receiving pictures of the damage & proof of purchase, did send me a perfect replacement door free of charge. So the clock looks pretty good…not like an expensive grandfather clock, but adequate. The color of the wood is much redder (almost a maroon) than pictured & I’d like it more brown but it is what it is. My issue now is that I can’t get the pendulum to work. I have not contacted anyone about this yet. I assume there is a problem with the wiring. So, in a nutshell, take your chances with this item & expect some problems with quality control & packaging. Kudos to Coaster for addressing the broken door.

   Looks good, but it is extremely cheaply made, parts come bent, bottom was chipped, doesn’t keep time, doesn’t read right time, off an hour or 2 either way….I get it it’s cheaply priced, but not worth anymore the 20 bucks….

   My daughter was able to put this together by herself, and it looks really beautiful. It keeps time well and I was thrilled to find a grandfather clock that was actually affordable (no way was I spending $2000 like the other ones cost). Other people have mentioned that the chimes sound “tinny” and that is true. They could have made the sound much nicer, and they should when they make future clocks. Still, it is very sweet and I am very happy with my purchase.

   I could not wait to write a review for this item. Long story short, it’s all that! Short story long… I had a few reservations before making this purchase for these very reasons: the product description left out all the details that a customer needs while researching.
   For example, the automatic shut-off to the sound at night (yes, after 10 pm to 5:59 or 7:59 am, I don’t have time to look through the instructions right now, but there is nothing but silence).
   Another issue that I was uncertain about was the measurements. They listed this in some weird way to where you are not sure if this is a tall standing clock or something half-size. But it is a tall 77 inches.
   Lastly, was the color. By reading other reviews, I was skeptical about this color, but it is what it reads (or at least mine is). The color is cherry wood. A cherry is red, wood is brown, put them together and it’s a brownish red.
   Look, this is one of the best purchases that I have made for our new home so far and to sum it all up, this purchase is waaay better than trying to afford a genuine grandfather clock that has to be professionally maintenanced. This takes two D batteries, with a couple of chime options. You can even leave the sound off! So many details left out for this product.
   Pendulum and weights look VERY real. We are extremely satisfied. Could NOT find a price that beat this one either (235.00)!
