Great mirror !! Nice to see close up , have to change bulb and plug to Australia standards though

It has a very bright light (almost too bright), but the magnification is perfect for me.

PRODUCT STOPPED WORKING .. it will go on an off when I turn it on, almost like there is a short inside of it. And if that is the case, I worry about the safety of the device. Terrible and I wish I read the reviews before purchasing 1 year ago! 🙁 Here is your warning. And to request help from Conair looks terribly long, I’ll just buy a DIFFERENT brand and avoid this one. Take this warning.. don’t waste your money on this junk that will stop working.

Seems to be made well, the mirror is fine, but the light is too dim even on the high setting.

This mirror is perfect for my needs. Didn’t want battery (been there before) so love the electric. It’s nice & bright.

Happy with purchase. Should have bought this long time ago. Fast delivery. I prefer electric plug-in over rechargeable. Nice design.

Funciona bastante bien, creo que tenemos con él como 3 o 4 meses y funciona bien. No hemos tenido que cambiarle los focos ni nada, enciende bien y sí tiene buena iluminación, no es tan pesado y se ve lindo.

I’ve reached that age where I need a magnification mirror for doing my makeup or plucking errant hairs from my face without ending up looking like a raccoon or poking my eye out. Conair has always been a good quality product and I knew I wanted a mirror by that manufacturer. This mirror is the perfect size for my dressing table, the magnification is perfect for makeup or plucking. It also looks nice.
My only complaint is the brightness is not adjustable – it’s just on or off – no color temperature change, no brightness levels. Which for me and my needs is ok for now.

I had one of those big, square old mirrors with the lights on the sides and the four settings on them. I usually only used the day setting because I thought the other settings were too dark. About a week ago the lights died and I didn’t feel like replacing them. I also didn’t like all the space it took up on my dresser, as well as having to plug it in. When I saw this little beauty, I decided to bite the bullet and try it. I’m so glad I did! Before I received it, I was in BB and B and was looking at some of the other similar lighted mirrors. I thought they were horrible! They were very thick and heavy with long cords. Plus, when I tried looking in them I just couldn’t find the angle that worked to see myself. I was a little nervous opening this when it arrived, given my experience with the similar items, but was so relieved when I set it up. It’s very light; I move it around easily on my dresser depending on where I want to use it. It uses 3 AA batteries (I have rechargeable batteries so I’m using those to save money) and that allows you to walk around with it if you need to. The magnification is very good; it magnifies much more than my old mirror but not so much you can’t see yourself in it. It does have a bit of a sweet spot for seeing yourself in the magnified area, but it’s a pretty big spot. The lighting is just perfect for me. The low setting is a bit too low so I don’t use it, but the high setting is perfect. It’s enough light that I can see to pluck my eyebrows, but not so much that it blinds me. I use the regular side for putting on makeup because I can see my entire face in it from a good distance. I find the light is much better for plucking; I just use my room lighting for putting on makeup (I’m not a big makeup person so I don’t need the different lighting types. The swivel is also very well built; it will swivel but won’t do so unless you actually want it to. Overall, this works great for my needs, which are somewhat minimal. The fact that it barely takes up space on my dresser is a huge plus.

Great lighting on mirror. Mirror is a good size. Not to big, not to small…. mu daughter uses it every day. The lighting with the plug is more constant and is much better than a battery lit mirror.

A mi esposa la encantó. Lo usa todos los días. Es ligero y resistente. Tiene las dos vistas habituales en estos espejos y tiene su propia luz. Muy útil y a muy buen precio comparado con otros que hacen lo mismo.

I love that it has the control for the light at the top of the cord so you’re not reaching down to plug it in to the wall often! You will see every poor it is wonderful great for trying to get splinters out or blackheads or put make up on. Great price too!!!!

This review comes straight from my wife. She passionately believes this mirror is excellent for the beginner make-up user or someone who just plain wants a makeup mirror at a great price.
Her take:
So I’m painfully new at makeup, and the idea of buying a makeup mirror was rather daunting. Do I go cheap or expensive? Will this be a bad investment in my morning routine? I heard great things about the Ottlite line, but I eventually decided to go with Conair after reading some third party reviews. In particular, I heard great things about the Conair Reflections series, as some of their other products have that cheapy feel to them. Reflections, for the price, is a cut above. I am extremely happy I went with this mirror.
••Batteries••
It does need 3 AA batteries, but I don’t find this to be a negative. It might be a problem if we didn’t live in the age of rechargeables, but we do… and the portability is a bonus. My vanity is rather small right now, and no plug/cord taking up space is exactly what I wanted. As well, if I need to transport it anywhere, it’s as easy as grab and go.
••Brightness••
So this thing doesn’t have bulbs that you have to replace. Rather, it has ringed LED light that won’t need replacing. I admit, I assumed the batteries may not give the brightest light, but I was wrong. The mirror has 2 light settings: low and high. I use High all the time because the room my vanity occupies only has a ceiling light, and it’s not that strong. In spite of this, it’s easy to see how my makeup will look due to the lights from this mirror providing the right brightness. Basically, it’s not super bright, but it simply doesn’t have to be. In my photos below the review, I show all of the settings in order from left to right: off, high, and low.
••Weight and Craftsmanship••
The mirror is light, but it feels well-crafted. If you were to accidentally knock into your vanity or the mirror, it won’t fall over easily. However, if you tried to club someone over the head in self defense, it would likely break. Basically, its light enough to lift easily but not so light you need to be dainty with it. The switch has a good feel to the click for turning off, low, or high. Also, when you’re turning the mirror from 1x view to 7x view, it flips easily but not so easily that it will want to keep going.
••How I learned to love the Zoom!••
The 7x zoom is amazing. I wasn’t aware how helpful it can be. You just need to lean in a bit, and you can highlight your eyes with ease. My eyeliner has been going on a LOT more evenly and smoothly, as well as my mascara. I find the 7x is perfect for getting used to a mirror with zoom. Also, I need glasses, but the 7x zoom does not bother my eyes at all, which I really appreciate since I can’t wear my glasses while doing my makeup.
••Size••
The mirror is small enough that it won’t take up too much of the vanity; however, the size is perfect in capturing your entire face without having to be too far back from it.
••Conclusion••
Overall, I’m extremely happy that this is my first make up mirror for my vanity. The Conair is perfect for the price point, and I am NOT planning on replacing it any time soon. Frankly, it beats out many other mirrors on Amazon, along with a handful of $100 mirrors I scoped out at Bed Bath & Beyond. I could see myself using this until the LED lights die, which per reviewers on Amazon.com, may take quite a while.
