I picked this as my birthday present this year. I have always wanted a cuckoo clock, and I’m excited for my family to make memories with this clock playing in the background of our lives. My kids currently run over to watch it each hour, and it’s so adorable and makes my heart happy. I also like that it plays several songs, and won’t chime when it’s dark and we’re sleeping
As many other reviewers mentioned, it arrives broken, which is pretty annoying for something you’ve spent $600 on. I was expecting this, but hopeful mine would be safe. It was packaged wonderfully, but once opened, we discovered several pieces had fallen off and needed to be glued back in place. My clock is completely missing a piece, the middle part of the upper railing. We searched all over the packaging, and it simply wasn’t included. I have a feeling many of these clocks are broken and missing pieces before they even ship.
Overall, the clock works great (so far) once glued back together, and it is pretty cute. My missing piece doesn’t bother me too much, so I’ll live with it.

The clock is well made and lightweight. The instructions are easy to follow as is the setup. The children on the seesaw is picky however, if you have the clock even slightly tilted to the right (as you face it), it will not work. So it must be very level if not ever so slightly tilted to the left. But what a beautiful clock.

Beautiful clock. We love the moving parts and craftsmanship BUT when the bird comes out to cuckoo it has an echo and it sounds bad. Otherwise, we loved it

Beautifully well made clock…the kuckoo has a echo and the melodies are lovely,you can turn off the music and just have the kuckoo if you like but it does have an automatic shut off at night anyway.Iv had mine for six mths now and no complaints all and all a great clock and worth every penny its such a delight to look at .

Built to perfection, shipped perfectly packed, this cuckoo clock (I have thought of purchasing a genuine cuckoo clock for the last few years – and got the opportunity now) is a great addition to the house. It is not a traditional traditional cuckoo clock because the absolute authentic ones are completely mechanical and manual with 1 or 8 day winding mechanisms. This is a battery operated clock and it works to perfection. It keeps time very well and is a conversation piece at home during parties. Love it… everyone loves it and it is visible and audible. It has good functionality and automatically shuts off the sound at night when there is no light source. In the morning it starts up. Love the details on this 100% Authentic, real WOOD, Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with real wood shingles, steeple and red shutters.. No more having to pull chains to keep things going (Battery operated) and yet still has a nice swinging pendulum and on and off switches with volume control! Yay.. Soo adorable to see the cute full bodied cuckoo bird with really cute chirping sounds and it’s little wings that flap out upon chirping and then to have a different melody on each hour, no half hour songs or chimes though. Nice volume too, even on high it’s not annoyingly loud. Watching the sweet cute dancers spinning around and the little children teeter back and forth on their teeter totter is adorable, then to see the cute water mill turning and to hear the water trickle sounds when the bird is cuckooing is so pleasant. Just a really nice clock for it’s many features including the adorable woodland creatures around both sides and the cute dogs. For me, ‘it’s worth every penny’!! It’ll be a wonderful forever gift and treasure to keep in your home for a life time.. Looking forward to many years with this gem!

My husband bought this for a gift after we got back from a European trip thru Germany. We love the cuckoo birds echo, makes it feel like you’re in the Black Forest. Each hour it plays a different authentic song which we love to stop and listen to. The rocking children, dancing dolls, and the spinning water wheel are adorable, and the wood chalet with the red flowers along the windows and pine trees make you feel like your right in the Alps. We love that we don’t have to wind it every day, it just keeps ticking with a couple of batteries. We looked at cuckoo clocks on our trip in Germany but decided by buy it when we got home on Amazon since the shipping was Prime, guaranteed, half the price, and love that it’s made in Germany.

Very detailed and beautiful cuckoo clock. The quartz clocks have faux weights and chains which would otherwise need to hang 6 feet. The short pretend weights make it look aesthetic while keeping out of reach of small children. The songs are nice, my only wish is that it played Edelweiss. It really adds character to the room and my 3 year old LOVES to hear and watch the hourly shows. Nice way to introduce the concept of time.
Update: It has now been almost two years since I’ve purchased this clock for Christmas. It has truly become part of the house. The cuckoo singing still brings a smile to my face and a warmth to my home. It has been in use for 2 years and still has not needed a battery change. There have been no issues, defects, or regrets!
