The app is the remote. I will say for the money, it’s definitely worth it. It say a lot of modes that the lights are set up on that they play automatically from. Now if you look at the one picture where Music is enabled and now look at that green microphone. Look at the blue phone tablet looking thing highlighted. (Remembers to enable your microphone on your own phone for this to work) Whatever your microphone your Govee app is on will make the lights dance to it.
I just thought that was pretty 😎. I was actually surprised at all the things the app actually offered to be honest. Lol, I opened that tiny box and I was like meh. Then once I ran the lights and dug through the app then I was alright. Like I said, my only real disappointment was I thought the white would like a fluorescent white ya know but it’s fine.
If you’re wondering about installation, the entire length is tape behind that paper. You know you pull off and well I didn’t like that because you know how you don’t get it all perfect and try to pull it off the wall then it’s all stuck to your shirt then you get aggravated and want to just wad it all up. Lol
I keep that easy peel box tape from Walmart always laying around and grabbed a folding stepladder that has a round bar at the top for holding onto it and some scissors and just pulled off a bunch of small pieces and put it on that bar. Do you like my run on sentences yet? I can write but choose not to on this. 😁
Anyway try to put the tape on the areas in those long flat areas and not on the lights. I did however at times put it over these little black dots but whatever.
Oh yea and the other lights are really good too…my bad lol
So there’s my novel folks. Hope it helps

Great product. Easy to install, good quality, many colors, and gives the area it’s installed in a nice look. That being said… I think the Govee app could use some redesigning. Some colors/specific shades are very hard to find and some options like automatic turn off are a bit confusing. I used the Govee desktop app and noticed the color selection there is a little easier, has more variety (for some reason?) and there’s even some shades you CAN’T get on the mobile app. Overall, these are good RGB LED light strips that will do their job well, but if color variety and other more specific aspects are very important to you, I would go for RGBIC strips instead.

The Govee Smart WiFi LED Strip Lights are more frustrating than functional. While they promise a vibrant and customizable lighting experience, the reality is plagued by connectivity issues and poor app performance. The lights often disconnect from WiFi, and the app frequently crashes or fails to apply settings correctly. The adhesive on the back of the strips is weak, leading to them falling off surfaces. Additionally, the color accuracy is subpar, with some hues appearing washed out or different from what’s displayed in the app. For a product that’s supposed to enhance ambiance, the Govee LED Strip Lights create more hassle than atmosphere.

This product was perfect for what I used it for. Make sure to do swooping curves so not to crease it and has a sticky backing to hold secure. It works great with music or any sound. I absolutely love it!

The build quality is really poor. The product wont switch on once my son put the light on the ceiling.

The strip I bought in December had more LEDs and worked very well. Color isn’t very true but serves it purpose. I decided to buy another one and noticed that there are less LEDs this time, they’re much more spaced out. I’ll be returning these and getting the Kasa brand instead – the WiFi connection is more reliable, brighter and better color.

Honestly, if you’re looking to integrate standard LED products into govee home and have it work with DreamView this is a pretty good option. You’ll need to know how to splice or solder though.
Ignore the white balance in my photos in person it is actually white.
The actual strips that come pre-soldered to the controller are honestly some of the worst I’ve ever seen. They are practically paper with LEDs and the adhesive barely sticks. I’ve ordered a few of these and have had issues with them failing pretty quickly. The issue is actually with where the wire connects to the strip. They’re simply isn’t any bracing and it looks like the traces are printed on the paper with conductive ink. (Again, worst strips I’ve ever seen)
The actual controller that is soldered to the strips is honestly pretty good. It requires 24 volt power but it does output standard 12 volt red, green, blue, ground although the wiring it’s not standard colors. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
When using this to control standard LED products the red on the controller is the ground while the black on the controller Will connect to your red wire. The white wire will connect to your blue wire , and finally the green wire to the green wire (at least they left one normal)
I’m not sure how much power these can actually safely output but if you connect them to too big of a load, there is a safety shut off. I am currently running eight LED puck lights off of this controller without issue.

WOW. Très facile à installer et l’application pour contrôler les lumières est vraiment HOT.

Think I paid $15 for the 16’ one with coupon. Ridiculously easy to install and app is first class. Used it for under medicine cabinets in bathroom. Wish I got a longer one as not quite bright enough for 8’ width but so cheap might just pull out and install longer one. Just run it back and forth until out of strip. Also with app was able to match the “white” temp of overhead lights.

Similar to what everyone has outlined, the last 1/3 of the strip light doesnt light up or lights up in different colors when specific modes are used through the app where as certain colors are not affected. Perhaps the app is causing the issue and needs to be updated to operate the lights strips that are over a specific length??? Otherwise the light source is what was expected and provides mood lighting to a room. Whether these are on the cheaper end you should expect that when you purchase something that it actually operates as advertised, so for that I give this product a failing grade.

I bought this item a couple weeks ago, the 50 ft one. I loved it, it has big LED lights and they are quite closed from each other which gives a great final result. Unfortunately, 50 ft was not long enough so I decided to get the exact same item, the 65.6 ft one.
Bummer! This new one is completely different. The width is smaller, the LED lights are wayyy smaller and the space between the lights is way bigger.
Why did I pay 20$ more to get a completely different item??! I’m sooo disappointed!

At the beginning I let myself be guided by everyone’s comments. Since it looks like a quality product (and it is) what really made me angry (I almost returned it) is the following.
The strip is thin and laminated like any other, but the lights are too small and have no power at all. In the photo of my review you can see that I am comparing the Strip Glovee and the other one, which is a Chinese one from AliExpress. And I am surprised that the Chinese one has more power and that the LEDs are larger.
Now, what really infuriated me is seeing the following: I pay more than 50 dollars to have a long LED strip since that is what I plan, everything was fine, they delivered me the “long” product BUT if you notice in the photo that I uploaded the LEDs are very far apart from each other making there be a giant space between LEDs, it looks like a SCAM! but that’s because they don’t upload photos of the strip as such..
Don’t buy it, well it’s of good quality and works with Alexa without problems but the Leda’s aren’t really useful for half lighting a room, for that it’s better to have a Chinese one and you’re here as a complement or additional decoration….

The govee light strip is awesome. Tons of different modes to choose from. And you can operate it from an app. Great quality product
