** READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE especially the reviews with videos that show you the ANNOYING music it plays AFTER it coo-coos. It can NOT be turned off! WHY did they ADD that? WHY?
** General Tip on C (and D) cell batteries by using AA: These take 3X C batteries but who has C batteries lying around? I used 3x AA in this clock. There’s a trick that I’ve been doing for years for those that don’t know. You can buy inexpensive ‘AA-C (D as well) adapter spacers’ OR get a paper coin roll or similar and make roll them thick like a C battery. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Both AA & C batteries are the same length. You just have to make that positive/negative connection. You can get a 4+pk of adapter spacers for about $5 if you didn’t want to DIY your own.**
Review:
Do disappointed with this clock. I’m 45 yrs old and if you’re my age, your family most likely had one of these in their home.
I gifted this to my 88 yr old snowbird grandparents. Their home in FL has a beautiful antique cuckoo clock. They have mentioned they miss hearing that silly clock go off. So when I saw this, I thought this would be perfect for their newly purchased summer home.
When it arrived, they were actually surprised by the craftsmanship and it’s made of wood (not sure what kind). When I visited, I went to set it up, we were so disappointed.
Every hour the bird does pop out & coo-coo BUT it plays this annoying random cheap music and there’s NO way of shutting it off! WHY WHY WHY WHY?
That feature totally ruined this clock!!!
I would have given this clock 5 stars if it didn’t come with the annoying music played; the bird is very cheap looking, just a yellow plastic bird. The hands on the clock aren’t made well. They are extremely fragile! I believe other reviewers had this issue as well.
If the company/manufacturer
made a few tweaks and updated this to a new version, I think it would attract more buyers. GET RID of that annoying music or if there’s a way, PLEASE LET US KNOW!!
I had a crazy idea of taking this to a antique repair shop and asking them if there’s anyway to disconnect the music but i don’t have time for that.

This cuckoo clock is very beautiful. It’s a great decoration more than a clock. The wood is very finely carved and the plastic bird is cute which do not that bad as other reviews. But the size of this clock is too small for me and my dining room.

The clock out of the box would cuckoo, but would not keep time. I assume the clock was not wired up as it should be. I pulled the c cell battery holder off, and put a aa in the clock part and the things works as expected. The cuckoo amount does not match the time, but it works and it makes me happy.

Very traditional design of cuckoo outlook. Wood carving looks delicate and clean. Needed to adjust the chains for the cuckoo sound. Definitely a lot of value compare to the ones sold in German stores. Timing so far has been accurate for a month, fingers crossed.

This is completely battery operated, you need to get C batteries for this clock. This is a nice clock that keeps time well. The bird inside is all plastic and comes out with a cheery cuckoo sound, and then it follows with a melody. It works good. You can turn off the cuckoo sounds there is a switch so that is a big positive. I wish it had a 12 hour feature, on during the day off at night. When the cuckoo comes out he doesnt actually come out saying cuckoo to the exact hours, this was a disappointment. it has a prearranged amount of times and then stops for every hour. For a novelty gift it is nice.

The Kintrot Antique Cuckoo Clock has beautiful woodwork that will remind you of the old style cuckoo clocks one remembers way back when they were children. Although the woodwork is beautiful the clock has some limitations that might make this clock not the one for yourself. Here are my thoughts on this clock:
1) The pinecone “Weights” are not weights at all. The chains and pinecones are just decoration and they do not move.
2) The clock mechanism, cuckoo, barn doors are all plastic. This is a distraction from the beautiful woodwork.
3) The hands are very delicate and break easily when installing the three C cell batteries. The C cells pushed in hard and we tried to keep our hands away from the clock hands but we did break off the hour hand. I spent the next hour trying to glue on the hour hand. The hands are made out of cheap wood that has been laser cut out.
4) The sound of the cuckoo is mechanical sounding and does not sound that great (watch video).
5) The clock plays a different tune after each hour that again does not sound great and no way of turning that feature off. I am not sure why they did this but it distracts from the clock.
6) As a good feature, the clock does have a light sensor so when the room is dark the clock will not chime.
CONCLUSION:
Although I would prefer a real cuckoo clock that is mechanical with the weighted movement of the pine cones and does not have any plastic, this still is a pretty clock that will entertain the grandkids when they come over to visit. This clock is not going to be for everyone, the tune after the cuckoo is annoying, but again I don’t think the grandchildren are going to mind.
RATING SYSTEM:
I review a lot of products because I know reading other peoples reviews are very helpful in selecting the right product. I saw a reviewer that gave a rating scale and I thought, “that is useful”. When one is reviewing from underwear to air compressors having a way to tell you why I rate is important.
Here is my rating scale:
5 Stars: Excellent product, I highly recommend this product for anyone.
4 Stars: Good product, but there are some quality, functionality, or design issues, but will still work well.
3 Stars: Okay product, it will work for some people but not all people. It works but not great.
2 Stars: Is not very functional. It might work in a very specialized situation, but don’t count on it.
1 Star: Trash. I can’t see any useful purpose for the product.

This watch is very delicate and the bird will come out to tell the time every hour, which is very cute. I have used it for a few days and it seems to keep accurate time.
