Desideravo da tanto tempo un orologio da parete col pendolo e quando ho trovato questo con in più il cucù è stato veramente amore a prima vista. Il prezzo è però altino, così ho aspettato un bel pò prima di acquistarlo. Arriva in una bella confezione dallo stile minimal, all’interno della quale ogni parte è accuratamente imballata e protetta. C’è anche il pieghevole con le istruzioni, naturalmente. E’ bellissimo, ben costruito e con buon materiale (certo, non è legno massello, ma per quello che deve fare va benissimo), viene fornito con quattro uccellini e pendoli di colore diverso da abbinare a seconda dei gusti e che si montano alla struttura per mezzo di magneti. Per metterlo in funzione bisogna disporre di batterie mezze torce, non molto comuni da trovare, ma comunque reperibili su Amazon. E’ anche possibile scegliere fra tre diversi tipi di “canto” per il rintocco. Ormai è quasi un mese che è in funzione e si è rivelato anche impeccabile per la sua esattezza, non sgarra di un minuto! Insomma lo consiglio tantissimo anche come regalo, è davvero carino!

Le vendeur a été très réactif à mes messages et m’a donné de nombreux conseils pour essayer de régler ce problème. Malheureusement rien n’y a fait. Après remboursement je viens d’en commander un second.
Je suis ravie, car il est moderne et quel plaisir de l’entendre à nouveau. J’en ai offert un à ma fille qui l’apprécie également beaucoup. C’est de la bonne qualité.

I just received this today so will update if anything changes.
First: the batteries. Having read some of the other reviews, I was prepared (I thought) with new 1.5 volt C generic brand batteries from a local big box store. Clock ran fine but no cuckoo and the bird would not come out. Grrrr. Just to troubleshoot, I went back and bought “name brand” super duper 1.5 volt C batteries and that seems to have solved the problems. So: don’t just get the right voltage and type of batteries, get better grade batteries.
Back to the clock: it’s a simple and elegant design and would look good in a child’s room but it also looks great and whimsical with our midcentury style furnishings. So far, with the new batteries, it is keeping perfect time. There is a slight audible “tick” (as one might expect from a pendulum clock) but it is very quiet.
The directions are minimal, but not too hard to figure out. It is important to look for and read the part about how to set the clock so that the “cuckoo/bird calls” are matched correctly to the time. The trickiest part for me was attaching the pendulum rod to the body of the clock but the trick is just to carefully insert it *into* the attachment part and then give it a slight pressure so that it hooks into place. Everything else is simple magnets. Oh, yes, and the pendulum rod was just randomly in the box and easy to overlook in all the excitement, so look for a small thin strip of white metal so you don’t accidentally throw it out. 😉
Final thoughts: Given that the clock is primarily constructed from painted MDF and plastic, it’s probably a *wee* bit overpriced, but I think it’s still well worth it because it is an elegant design. I’m glad we bought it and we would recommend it.

After trying to get a cheaper cuckoo clock to work I gave up and swallowed the extra cost. Well worth it, the clock cuckoo’s when and how often it is supposed to and is easy to set up. It looks great, very happy.

This clock is very cute. It comes with four different colored disks to add to the pendulum, and also 4 different colored birds. The sound can be set to “cuckoo” or make several different bird sounds. I have it in my kids’ bedroom. The ticking sound is soft and soothing, and the cuckoo/chirps are silent when lights are out, so the clock doesn’t wake the kids. Very cute, cheerful clock!

First one the pendulum didn’t work but we had a replacement before we could even get the first one on its way back and it works perfectly.
I have one of my grandpa’s cuckoo clocks and a magnificent Black Forest cuckoo clock my husband gave me many years ago. Now we have cats that play with the chains and real cuckoo clocks are very delicate, so I can’t run them anymore.😞 I saw an ad for this one and just thought it was cute. I’m a clock lover and have all kinds. This one just appealed to me because I don’t have anything similar to it.
I LOVE THIS CLOCK!
It has a setting that you can have it make real bird noises…which I usually like but found the sounds on this clock very irritating. Which was fine because I wanted the cuckoo clock sound anyway. The cuckoo clock sound is surprisingly very much like a real one. It’s a bit softer which I find nice. Real ones can be a bit loud. It has a light sensor that turns the cuckoo off when it gets dark.
Only thing I am disappointed in is that for some reason I got the impression that the different color birds would rotate. They don’t. You have to choose one. But it will be fun mixing and matching and rearranging the birds and pendulums from time to time.
This clock is keeping EXCELLENT time. I know this because we had it set 3 minutes fast and it bugged me for days when I’d look at my iPhone dock and see the time was off. I gave it a bit of a nudge and got it to just one minute fast and it has stayed steady as well. I’ll give it one more nudge pretty soon to get it the right time.
Oh. One other thing. It takes C batteries which is not a commonly used battery any more. We haven’t had any of those around for years. So make sure you get some. It takes 3 and each battery runs a different function on the clock. One the bird. One the time. One the pendulum.
I’m really pleased with the quality of this clock. It’s not made of cheap materials and I have no reason to believe that it won’t hold up for many years.

仕事場で壁にかけて使用してます。一時間ごとに愛らしい小鳥が出て来て時を告げてくれるので、いつも和んでしまいます。小鳥と振り子玉は色を変えられますし、時間ごとの鳥の鳴き声もオーソドックスなホッホーにも野鳥のさえずりにも変えられます。静かーな室内ですと振り子の音がすこし気になる場合があるやもしれませんが、小鳥の奥ゆかしい愛らしさを堪能したい方は是非ぜひ☺️

Nice modern looking cuckoo clock that also offers bird sounds. Works great so far, reminds me of the time every hour. Nice that is silent at night. Quality seems top notch

Really thought this was cute and high quality, unfortunately not. Bought to entertain my new granddaughter, a bummer
