Wood stylish look. No ticking sound. Easy to read. Sets it’s self. Accurate. Use a high quality AA for best results. On arrival I placed this clock in my attic overnight to increase the chances of it receiving the radio signal, it programed it’s self in one night.

I love the simple look of this clock. It isn’t too modern, but stylish enough to not be out of place in many rooms. My patience for setting clocks around the house has vanished, thus the reason for purchasing an atomic clock. Instructions are simple to follow – my clock set itself fairly quickly here in the Great Toronto Area. My only minor annoyance with this clock – when it was new, it’s operation was extremely quiet. Now that I have owned it for a year, the movement of the hands isn’t as quiet as it once was. It’s not unbearable, but if you are determined to have a clock that is almost silent in operation, know that over time this particular clock will make some noise. After a year, I’m still very satisfied, and I would purchase this clock again.

(Husband): This is the 3rd atomic time timepiece we have. Using our computers, cell phones, other electronic devices and the 3 atomic time timepieces we have, this clock and all the other atomic time timepieces we have are either all accurate to the second or all slightly off by the same increment. Just like clockwork! BTW: This clock is beautiful!

The clock arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. My first impression was that it is a nice clock, easy to read, and has a timeless—no pun intended—design. The clock can be manually set, but it is pretty tedious, so I just followed the instructions and let it set itself. All you have to do is select the time zone and daylight saving time using the switches on the back and press the button and it resets to midnight and then searches for the atomic clock time signal. (Of note, this clock can only be used in the 48 contiguous United States or countries that fall within one of those time zones, because the time zone switch only allows for the four main U.S. time zones.) It did take a while to acquire a signal and set itself, which the instructions warned me about, but by the next day the clock was set and telling time accurately to the second as verified by the NIST server. Overall, this clock is an excellent proposition for the price and looks good hanging up in my kitchen. I would purchase it again.

Review of: La Crosse Technology 404-50447-INT 12.8″ Atomic Walnut Analog Wall Clock

This clock is stunning. Even better, it’s accurate! At first I was watching it to pick up the signal, but that got frustrating. So I set it in the window and walked away. When I came back a few hours later, it was correct. So all I can say is to not expect to hang it that first day. We’ve now had a time change since I first hung it, and it changed on it’s own. You can hear the ticking. It’s not really loud, but it would drive me crazy in my bedroom. We have it in our bathroom, where we can see it from our shower and the vanity to keep us on-time. It’s easy to hang, very easy to read. I’m very very happy with this purchase. If I were to need a clock in another space, I’d buy this one again.

My first atomic clock. I had difficulty with the set up in my area northeast, so I set it up manually and it was off by a couple of minutes. A few hours later I noticed it self corrected to the exact time. It looks beautiful in my kitchen. I won’t know until the fall if it works as described. The wood tone is beautiful.

Maintains accurate time, second hand is slightly off the hash mark, which is disappointing

Was initially attracted to this clock due to its simple, appealing design. Liked the look of the wooden frame, and the easy to read face. Impressed by the positive reviews and automatic time setting, decided to purchase. Arrived in minimal secure packaging and excellent condition. Only took 20 – 30 minutes for clock to set accurate time. Very encouraging and hopeful it continues to be a reliable timepiece.

This is a beautiful clock, and surprisingly silent. But, most of the, um, time, none of the hands (particularly the second hand, as it jumps from second to second) line up with the markings. For me, that’s unacceptable. I have three other La Cross radio-controlled clocks, and this one is the worst with regard to the issue I’m citing.

I like the walnut finish it brings out the fine workmanship if this product
I have it in my rec room

I like the large numbers with the minutes prominently displayed. The long hands point exactly to they are supposed to be. It keeps perfect time and automatically changes to daylight savings time and back. I bought it for my living room, and it is very nice looking addition to the decor.
