These candles were perfect. The switch to turn them on & off is solid and not flimsy. The light the emits from the votive mimics a real candle to create the perfect ambiance. It is made of plastic, but looks like wax which I like. I have purchased battery operated wax candles which end up melting in the sun & in extreme heat. These candles won’t do that. These were perfect for my sons wedding proposal to give the feel of real candles. They have a good battery, and the batteries can be easily replaced once they die. I would definitely buy these again.

Great product. Candles gave off the effect that was needed. Battery life is great (although there were a couple of candles that seemed to not last as long). Brightness was great. Color was great overall I’d rate this product an 8/10.

I like these OK. I wish they were brighter. They are close to the brightness of a standard tea light candle. They are less bright than a larger candle, like a 2.5″ wide pillar candle.
It drives me nuts when shopping for these candles that brightness is so hard to figure out since lumens are almost never listed, so I’ve added several pictures showing brightness and appearance comparisons. I hope they help you!
Pros: The flame flickering is quite realistic. Base is same size as a tea light which makes them easy to place everywhere. They look good from far away (relatively aesthetically pleasing and not obviously fake). The flame is hidden below the top edge of the candle, rather than sticking out above like some fake candles. I think this makes them look more realistic to not be able to see the fake flame since that looks obviously fake, especially during daylight. This design feature also means the light makes the whole candle glow (top-bottom), which I find visually pleasant.
Cons: The light is not quite the same color as a real candle, it’s a bit less warm. Could be brighter. I think they are not bright enough for a lantern, but work for decorative purposes. I tried them in my moroccan lantern and they didn’t seem bright enough to me to really showcase the light patterns. Up close they look very fake and plasticy. I would not place these where somebody would see them up close. They look better in places where people will view them from afar. A few did arrive non-working, as many other reviewers have stated. I didn’t care because the box had way more than I needed, but if you need a certain number of these – be warned that you will likely get fewer working than advertised.

I bought these SHYMERY Flameless Votive Candles because festival season is right around the corner, and they’re perfect for adding that cozy, festive vibe! They look super real with the flickering effect, and the warm white light gives such a nice, calming glow. Plus, the battery lasts forever – perfect for long nights of celebration! Got a pack of 24, so I can spread them around the house for a warm and inviting feel. Super happy with this buy!

These little tea lights actually flicker when on. I was so surprised! And it’s an uneven, natural flicker, very realistic. I would say they are as bright as a real tea light. Easy to turn on switch. The color is great, a mellow ivory. I love them! Reccomend!
