I bought these as a birthday gift for my boss. He has an enclosed courtyard with a lap pool. The courtyard is very tropical!! And has bronze sculptures that he bought in Thailand. He is a very hard person to buy for. Then I saw these chimes and thought, they would look great, and go with his courtyard decor. I ordered the brass. He loved them!! Don’t let the box size fool you. Once you get them out. They are beautiful and the size is good. They have more of a high pitch tone. Very happy with the purchase.

The chimes came well packed and in excellent condition. I enjoy collecting chimes. This set is so visually appealing. So I left these in a wish list for about a year. Then it went on sale, so I bought it.
Unfortunately, the sound is very unimpressive. Described as tinny by another, I would agree. The sound is monotone as the many aluminum pipes, all of the same tone, overwhelm any sound from the other elements of the chime.
However, the visual element is enough to keep it hanging in a corner.

This is a very lovely chime…if that is all you are looking for. It is delicate and so is the sound … not much to chime about (pun) and reason for only a 4 rating. I am actually getting additional ones as gifts and back up as, again, it is very delicate and there are many strings and attachments which may break and difficult to repair. I placed this one underneath the eave to protect against any rain, harsh sunlight and extreme winds we have during monsoon season in Arizona. Hopefully, it will last quite a while. Recommend if you want a beautiful chime to exhibit or just look at.
